In the z-wave service the node failure check never returns a failure nor an OK
This functionnality is just an “Nice To Have” option, it can give you eventually information about your device.
You have to know that the “Node Failded” is one of the most complex functionality of the OpenZwave library.
I added that information to give informations….
And how do I know the device is added and configured correctly?
For instance I only see one node for my ALMS, I suppose it is the motion sensor but where do I find the lux, temp and humidity sensor?
If you edit your device, on the first page, you’ll see the status.
If it’s complete => Everything is OK
If not, you may have a problem.
I’ll release the new version of the zwave service soon, so maybe wait for that version to see if your problem is solved.
I’ll try to be patience 😉
In the new version of the zwave service, you have a button “Test node” when you edit a device.
If your device is marked as “Probe” or “Node Failed”, you can click on that button.
It will try to restore the communication between your controller and your device.
IMPORTANT : If your device have battery, be sure that he is wake up!
