This functionnality is just an “Nice To Have” option, it can give you eventually information about your device.
You have to know that the “Node Failded” is one of the most complex functionality of the OpenZwave library.
I added that information to give informations….
And how do I know the device is added and configured correctly?
For instance I only see one node for my ALMS, I suppose it is the motion sensor but where do I find the lux, temp and humidity sensor?
In the new version of the zwave service, you have a button “Test node” when you edit a device.
If your device is marked as “Probe” or “Node Failed”, you can click on that button.
It will try to restore the communication between your controller and your device.
IMPORTANT : If your device have battery, be sure that he is wake up!
