    Hi there !

USB drivers are now implimented in my DSM version. I can see my z-stick in PS.
However, I’m not sure it is correctly installed. I can’t see this kind of line « usb 1-1.3: cp210x converter now attached to ttyUSB0 » with the dmesg | grep tty command :

    DiskStation> dmesg | grep tty
    [ 0.000000] Kernel command line: console=ttyS0,115200 ip=off initrd=0x00800040,4M root=/dev/md0 rw syno_hw_version=DS210jv20 ihd_num=2 netif_num=1
    [ 3.560000] serial8250.0: ttyS0 at MMIO 0xf1012000 (irq = 33) is a 16550A
    [ 3.570000] console [ttyS0] enabled
    [ 3.570000] serial8250.1: ttyS1 at MMIO 0xf1012100 (irq = 34) is a 16550A
    [ 613.900000] cdc_acm 1-1.1:1.0: ttyACM0: USB ACM device

I think this means my converter is attached to ttyUSB0.
In PS, I have a “permission problem” error in the serial port box. This is a screenshot : http://www.cjoint.com/c/FKeuWkjVmDk

How can I solve it ?
My next question will be on the roller shutter. Let’s go step by step ! ;o)

    Thanks !

    Try executing following command:
    sudo chmod 777 /dev/ttyACM0
Then restart the zwave service (or the core if needed).

Your usb key is on ttyACM0, not ttyUSB0.

    Kind regards,

Thank you for your quick answer.
Here is the answer to the command :

    DiskStation> sudo chmod 777 /dev/ttyACM0
    -ash: sudo: not found

I still have the permission problem in PS

If you don’t have sudo, you can try it without:
    chmod 777 /dev/ttyACM0

    Kind regards,

The permission problem has disappeared !
    Thank you very much !

I will try to make the roller shutter work but for the moment I don’t have the same parameters than in the tutorial. I try to make it on my own but I’m quite sure I will need your helpful assistance.
