    Hello,

i tried to install PulseStation on my DS216 (DSM 6.0.2-8451) following the description in the FAQ:

    1. Webstation (HTTP Backend Apache 2.2, PHP 5.6 & Maria DB
    2. PulseStation Package 1.3.1 installed
    3. PulseStation frontend throws Error (ERR-004 The core service is not running. Click on the following link to start the application)
    4. Service Page in administration panel is empty / not accessible.
    5. I tried to start the service via SSH but the /volume1/web/PulseStation/services/ directory is empty.

I checked phpMyAdmin for any PulseStation DB but there are no tables from PulseStation.

    Any suggestions to fix this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

You are one of the lucky owners of a Synology model where php by default doesn’t support the mysql database.
You can enable it by using following trick:

Then you should be able to start installing services from the add-ons etc.

    Kind regards,
    K.Rens

    Hi
    Thanks for your answer.

    But I have a question.
Which 2 lines of the 4 sudo lines I have to run?
The first line leads to an error because there is no php file. There is only a php56 file i can move.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,

I had problems running the commands, too. But after a bit of research I was able to set the symlink to the normal PHP version. Unfortunataly PulseStation is still not able to connect to the Database.

Is there a way to check if the links are set correct?
    Did I missed something?

    Best regards

I’ve also updated the instructions in the link above to match more devices, I added extra php commands.

    Have fun,

We just found out that a certain DSM model was not yet supported since DSM 6.
Result: the Add-ons section kept on spinning.
If you still have this issue, let us know your synology model so we can see whether we are missing any other models.

We just fixed it for Armada38x

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    K.Rens

    Hey,

I still have some issues. I can connect my Z-Wave devices but they are not stored.

I think there is still a problem with the DB-Service.

    Kind regards

Is there a typo in it?!

    sudo mv /usr/bin/php /usr/bin/phpORIG
    sudo ln -s /volume1/@appstore/PHP5.6/usr/local/bin/php56 /usr/local/bin/php

    shouldn’t it be

    sudo mv /usr/bin/php /usr/bin/phpORIG
    sudo ln -s /volume1/@appstore/PHP5.6/usr/local/bin/php56 /usr/bin/php

    Hi Dirmme,

Every Synology model seems to want it to behave different, sigh.
It could indeed be that you need your command instead.
    It’s always a bit a puzzle.

Wil try to see whether I can’t make a script that fixes it for you.

    Kind regards,
    K.Rens

    I have similar on DS1813+

    Error : ERR-004
The core service is not running. Click on the following link to start the application=

    Run the application

When I click on the “Run the application” link

Page loads but is very broken and has nothing on it apart from a button called “Rooms” which has a drop down menu with only “All” on it which also does nothing.

Really annoying as what is advertised by this application looks really amazing shame it doesn’t work out of the box 🙁

Can this be rectified? I have sensitive data on my NAS so giving a developer on your end root access to the NAS is simply out of the question is there a way that you can “simply” compile a version of the spk that rectifies this issues?
