BijdragerHi,
I managed to configure my Fibaro’s roller shutter 2 using the tutorial and the useful topic of february which showed how to change the xml file to get the correct parameters.
So, my parameters are the same than in the tutorial but my main problem is that when I send a command, it takes 5 minutes for the roller shutter to move ! And it makes a lot of moves : up, down, up, down, up, down, …Is the latency due to my NAS (210J) which is only powered by 128 Mo RAM ? Would this problem be fixed if I move to a 216J with 512 Mo of RAM ?
Have you any ideas regarding the too many moves ?Thank you !!

BijdragerUpdate : in ImperiHome, the opening worked (1 attempt) but it didn’t shut (5-6 attempts…)

Sleutelbeheerder128Mb RAM is too few for a heavy communication network like Zwave.
PulseStation itself is also quite heavy.I would recommend at least 512Mb ram for smooth operation, the more the better.
I even switched to a dedicated Raspberry pi 3 to have optimal performance.Let me know if you would like to help us testing the latest zwave package, I can send you instructions if you want.
I hope to release it coming weekend though.
Kind regards,

BijdragerThank you for your answer.
So, I will switch to another hardware solution by year end. I think I will remain in a Synology World as my linux knowledge does not exist even if the Raspberry solution is the best.
I can test the lastest zwave package if you think my participation could be useful to you.maart 7, 2018 om 2:23 pm #11862LaplaceII
BijdragerHello,
I have PulseStation running on a DS212+ (512MB RAM). I have installed 25 zwave devices with usb stick from vision. I’m always suffering a little bit if the Synoloy has to be restarted due to updates. This means that the zwave devices do a lot of communication to integrate the devices properly. This procedure takes more than 1h if there are no other processes running on the synology; even longer if there are other major processes running (according to the OZW_log.txt file. I’m not sure where my bottleneck is (Synology, Vision Stick)?
Does anyone have a hint how to speed up my configuration (Using Rasperry PI or change NAS, applying another USB stick). Unfortunatley I have no comparative data…
Regards in advance

BijdragerHi Michael,
I have 22 devices working with a Synology DS213j with 512 MB.
The restart of the system is always like a walk on eggs.
To speed up the reboot of the poulse-station I first stop the Scene-Service complete.
Even unplug the zwave plugs during reboot process can speed up.
My biggest problem are the Door-/Window sensors…Andi

BijdragerHello,
I have decided to leave my Synology to it’s original use ans I have bought a Raspberry pi 3.
I don’t have any knowledge in linux language but there are a lot of tutorials..
My installation is very fluid and I don’t experience the latency I had with my Synology.
I hope it will help youWK

SleutelbeheerderI did the same, replaced Synology with raspberry pi 3.
Domotica is always quite heavy, as soon as you have several devices.Kind regards,

BijdragerThanks for your advice. I already thinking to change!

BijdragerNeeds little Synology with raspberry and that’s it right. As a programmer from cheapessaywriter.com/application-essays With this easy to setup script you can expect average write speed of 67.4 MB/s was measured and a very good result.
